Autonomic Communications Forum (ACF)
IST project Autonomic Internet (AUTOI)
IST Network of Excellence Management of Internet Technologies and Complex Services (EMANICS)(workshop sponsor)
We are bringing together researchers from three communities – the ACF, the AUTOI FP7 programme, and the EMANICS NoE – to discuss their respective challenges and the potential solutions for them, regarding realizing the vision of the Future Internet. We believe that this meeting will be highly beneficial for all three. The ACF will be able to present part of its current objectives and attract researchers to participate in its experts and working groups. AUTOI will have the opportunity to share its views on building a new architecture for the Future Internet and how this architecture can relate to and drive the standardization process. Finally, this will help EMANICS fulfill its objective of disseminating and giving visibility to its work, as well as enabling it to integrate with a wider community. Subjects of interest for discussion include but are not restricted to the following
Selected presentations will be allowed a time slot of 20 minutes presentation and 25 minutes of open discussion. Hence, note that the value of the workshop is considered as an enabler of crossed discussions on open topics more than in presentations of closed works.
We invite people from ACF, AUTOI, EMANICS and other communities as well to send us (any of the workshop organizers listed hereafter) a one page summary of the work that they would like to discuss. Those summaries should include a title, the names and affiliations of the authors, an introductory section to put the work in context, and the set of questions or items that the presenter would like to address. Summaries of selected presentations will be published through this web in advance of the workshop to allow all of the attendees to think about the presentations; this will enable a more fruitful discussion to ensue, and will also help encourage participation.
Registration is free; however it is mandatory to register through this site. REGISTER HERE
